SPONTEX, a combination of the words “sponges” and “textiles” was founded in 1932. MAPA was born in 1948 with the creation of the worlds first glove made by the natural latex dipping process. Spontex is the European leader of cleaning tools and the inventor of cellulose sponge. Its production has been done in its European factories for more than 80 years.
Our industrial division is responsible for the marketing of raw materials from our European plants, namely, cellulose sponge, cellulose spongecloth, abrasive cloths and absorbent cloths. We sell semi-finished products (in the form of large blocks or rolls) or finished products directly integrated by our customers. We sell into very diverse sectors for a variety of applications such as: printing, plastic extrusion, packaging, medical, cosmetic & automotive industries. Besides the components, we also produce turnkey comprehensive solutions by partnering with your preferred suppliers or taking advantage of our existing partners.
