Cleaning, wiping & applying with custom made sponges

  • High fluid absorbtion and retention the natural cellulose sponge is able to absorb high amounts of fluid and is able to retend it too. In numbers, the sponge absorbes more than 20-time its own weight. These ability is not only given with water, but also with all hydrous substances i.e. oil, gasoline and alcohol (ethanol, methanol, propanol, butanol)
  • Chemical stability In chemical analysis natural cellulose sponge showed a surprising stability. Only acidic solutions (depending on the concentration) proved incompatible with the material.
  • Electrical coductivity Electrical conductivity of natural cellulose sponge in moist condition is outstanding.
  • Combustibility & temperature sensitivity Combustibility, as to be expected with cellulose-based materials, occurs at low level. Corresponding impregnating fluids can vary the combustibility rate. Thermographic analysis with cellulose sponge showed heat decomposition at approx. 250 degrees Celsius.
  • Filtering features The cellulose sponge is able to filter gas and liquids from some impurities, depending on which material.
  • Ecological/biological tolerance Natural cellulose sponge decomposes with time without endangering the environment. Furthermore, natural cellulose sponge can be washed, disinfected and sterilized.
  • Cleaning properties the cleaning properties of cellulose sponges from Spontex are acknowledged from consumers all over the world and also helpful in industrial environments
  • Light-weight characteristics Light-weight of cellulose sponge needs no further comment. This advantage, especially in connection with compressed state, offers good proposition for logistics, transportation, ecological environmet and resulting costs savings.
